Accepted Students
The Residential Life team welcomes you to New England College.
Housing Eligibility
正规赌篮球的软件 provides on-campus housing primarily for full-time undergraduate students. If housing is available, consideration will be given to graduate students enrolling for a 15-week term and undergraduate students who are enrolled part-time. At this time, 正规赌篮球的软件 does not provide family housing.
Residency Requirement
As a residential college, 正规赌篮球的软件 requires that all students live on campus for at least their first three academic years or six semesters. Students who meet one or more of the following may be exempt from the Residency Requirement:
- 23 years of age or older by August 1 of the upcoming semester
- Military veteran
- Married or in a civil union
- Have a child or children
- Reside in the home of a parent or legal guardian whose permanent address is in a town on the approved commuter list
Complete Your Housing Contract
After submitting your enrollment deposit, you can complete your housing contract in the Enrollment Portal. This contract is your opportunity to tell us about your housing preferences and choose your meal plan. After submitting your contract, you can access the Roommate and Lifestyle Survey where you can provide your roommate preferences and tell us more about yourself.
Room Assignments
Your room assignment information will be sent to your 正规赌篮球的软件 email account on or around August 1. In order to receive your housing assignment on this date, you must complete your housing contract and satisfy all Student Financial Services and Wellness Center requirements before July 15. Students who do not submit their housing contract by August 1 will not be guaranteed on-campus housing.
Residential Life and Housing does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed or religion, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, ability, veterans’ status, or marital status in regard to housing. Accommodation requests related to disabilities or medical/chronic health conditions should be directed to the Student Access and Accommodations Office. Students with accommodation requests related to gender identity or religious observance should contact the Director of Diversity and Inclusion or the Associate Dean of Students.
Roommates
You can use the Roommate and Lifestyle Survey to either request a specific roommate(s) or have our staff choose a roommate(s) for you based on your other preferences. We do our best to accommodate mutual requests whenever possible. Your requests must be received before July 15 in order to be considered. You will receive the name and contact information of your roommate(s) with your housing assignment letter.
Residence Hall Staff
The Residential Life and Housing staff includes both full-time professional staff members and graduate and undergraduate students.
Resident Advisors (RA), undergraduate students, live and work in nearly every residence hall across campus. Their job is to help new students transition to college living and foster a living and learning environment where all students truly feel at home. Each RA works in the building where they live and plan events and encourage community activities so students get to know each other and get connected on campus.
Move-In Information
As move-in day approaches, we will send more detailed information to your 正规赌篮球的软件 email account. Your room assignment email will include relevant move-in information as well, including information about when to arrive and where you can park.
Being part of the 正规赌篮球的软件 residential community requires all students to have Pilgrim Pride in their living space, so while we recognize the need for students to be individuals, we also recognize that community living requires civility and personal responsibility. As you make your preparations to arrive on campus, please review our What to Bring List, as well as the guidelines provided in the Student Handbook.
Meal Plans
All students living on campus must sign a housing and meal plan contract prior to moving in. To ease the transition into living on campus, all undergraduate first-year and transfer residential students are required to purchase the 300-block or 240-block meal plan. We find that having one of these two meal plans provides new students with reliable access to healthy meals and reduces the stress of adjusting to campus life. In addition to meals at Gilmore Dining Hall, each meal plan also includes an allotment of Flex Cash that can be used at the Simon Café and the Starbucks Café in the John Lyon’s Center. Students can request to have their meal plan increased during the year; however, once a student selects a meal plan, it cannot be lowered. Learn more about dining at 正规赌篮球的软件.
